In the crowd of mass produced machine products, genuine art is often left unheard. In order to amplify the esteem of these charismatic art works, a massive Trade Facilitation Centre was established in the Bada Lalpur area of Varanasi on 22nd of September 2017. The centre is an art museum, where the artists can display their art works in distinct art galleries, like textile gallery, handlooms and weaves gallery, carpet gallery and many such galleries where the pieces of art are found to be appreciated and explored. The facilitation centre is a massive step taken by the Government of India and is one of its kind museums found all over the country.
The Govt. of India provides a platform for trade enhancement, facilitation to both domestic and International buyers and carry forward the rich traditions of Handloom and Handicrafts of Varanasi region.
The project encompasses a constructed area of approx. 43,450 square meter, with subcomponents including Shops, Food Kiosks, Restaurants, Marts / Offices, Bank and ATM, Foreign Currency Exchange Office, Guest Rooms, Dormitories, Stalls / Kiosks, parking facility for more than 500 cars, space for cultural and social functions, Handloom and Handicraft exhibitions, Craft Museum along with Amphitheatre and Souvenir Shop.
- The Restaurant and Cafe
Specialized Fine Dining Restaurants and Cafe with ethnic Varanasi cuisine. These restaurants display the richness of Varanasi culture.
- The Shop
TFC also includes a number of small shops where you can buy inimitable ethnic wares, savouring the delicacies of Varanasi heritage.
- The Pre-Function Area
Just opposite the Conventional Hall there is a Pre Function Area which is best for small coffee breaks, afternoon refreshments, and social hours before general sessions.
- The Lounge
It also includes a Lounge area where you can sit, wait and relax.
- The Artisan Workshop Area
The Artisan Workshop area helps you focus on the artist's techniques. They're a good way to network with other artists.
- The Audio Visual Room
Audio Visual Room where interactive learning sessions are held which is well equipped with a LCD projector and a large screen.
- The Food Court
A large food court consists of Varanasi specialities like sweets, chaat, paan etc.

The Museum is situated at a distance of 8 km from Varanasi Cantt Railway station towards Bada Lalpur area of Varanasi. There are plenty of private cabs and e-rickshaws to reach the museum.
By Air
The nearest airport to Bada Lalpur at Varanasi - the cultural capital of India. Varanasi Airport at Babatpur is located about 20 km from Sarnath. It is an important domestic airport in India. Almost all public and private airlines in India operate regular flights to and from Varanasi. From Varanasi you can avail direct flights to cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Khajuraho, and others. You can also board a flight from Kathmandu to reach Varanasi.
By Train
The nearest railhead to Bada Lalpur is at Varanasi , which is one of the major railway junctions in the region. Varanasi railway station is connected to the rest of India by a large number of important trains. There are train links from Varanasi to various cities within Uttar Pradesh as well as cities in other parts of India like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Agra, Lucknow, Bangalore and Ahmedabad, to name a few.
By Road
Bada Lalpur in Uttar Pradesh is well connected with other parts of the state by descent roadways. The nearest mega terminus from Bada Lalpur lies at Varanasi, about 12 km from Varanasi. Varanasi is well connected by bus with major cities like Lucknow, Bareilly, Kanpur, Allahabad, Agra and Mathura. Regular buses run by Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation as well as private operators ply from Varanasi to these destinations. Hence, the museum is easily accessible by road from Varanasi and other major destinations in Northern India.
